I'd do a complete fresh install of windows 10, but I was hoping to take the lazy route and not have to back up every single picture / document I wanted to keep from a fresh wipe. I used the new driver sweeper in attempt to see maybe if there was a driver that was corrupted from a bad install or something but it didn't find anything either. What are my options for manually removing this from my computer? Is there anyway to manually find it in my registry and remove it? I tried searching for anything 'ae1200' and deleting any folders or what not, but nothing was listed. I was going to attempt to reinstall the driver and attempt to remove it from windows uninstaller but I couldn't find the device around the house. I have looked for the driver under my device manager but I don't see it listed. Now I am directly connected to my linksys router. I haven't used that dongle in around 2 years maybe more, since I have moved. I can get through the main part of the installation, but it won't complete because it says something along the lines of "incompatible driver software Linksys AE1200 wireless adapter". Even though it said I'm able to upgrade from windows 7 no problem.
